I was invited to ride to be a part of Freestyle Mania @ Monster Jam Helsinki 2011. This is the biggest event in Finland so I was superstoked and said yes! But then they told me that I had to ride on dirt, and I’ve never before tryed to ride on dirt. That scared me a bit but I decided to give it a try. It was hard to get a second rider with me cause of the dirt, but finally Joona Vatanen was in it!

I called Motorengas and telled them that I’ll ride some shows at Monster Jam, they were very happy for me and sent some better tyres so I could get some grips on the dirt. When I got the tyres I went out training, but it was very, very hard to ride on the dirt! I got scared to make a fool of myself at the show and were very nervous before the shows!

But when I came to Helsinki and did some practice there I got a better feeling. My Shinko tyres gave me a good grip on the surface they had there! But even I got grip it was still hard to ride cause it was so bumpy. I did just some one handed circles, ralph louise circles and so on.. But when Joona came there he showed us that even on dirt you can do a lot of tricks, like jump to high chair, nohanded circles and whatever, He is definitely a champ!

We had just a small corner to ride at but I’m satisfied with our riding and I’m glad I went there. I’ll probably be back next year, it was a funny experience! It was fun to ride on dirt and meet all the people, Monster truck riders, Fmx riders, bmx riders, atv rider Cody Elkins and many more! Funny weekend!
